@moonwalkmagick @NetflixEng An NFT is like any other crypto token, but with media assigned to it. It can be an image, video, music etc. An NFT can be made up of a collection of thousands, or they can be exclusive 1 of 1 pieces. You purchase and sell them with Crypto. They rise massively in value.
@FXAlexE Genuine doubt - what is the need to buy it when I just take a screenshot / download it for free ??
@Aaxhish_ Because you would only screenshot it to look at it, which is commonly mis-concepted as something that annoys OG NFT owners, but all screenshotter's are doing is promoting our pieces. We obtain all the utility benefits of being an original holder, such as airdrops and event access
@Aaxhish_ And to set it as your profile pic, evidently lol. If you owned the original piece you would be entitled to an enormous variety of perks, perks which can generate hefty or passive income on the side for being an original holder. Saved versions are just any old static image
@FXAlexE @Aaxhish_ What perks? I mean, it's not like someone is paying you for having it. So what are the benefits? Free drinks? VIP tickets for Super Bowl?
@_Felipondio @Aaxhish_ I've seen clothing lines launch NFT's and give huge boxes of limited edition clothing to holders who purchased before a certain date. Some do give Super Bowl tickets. Some airdrop NFT's that have a starting value of hundreds - thousands of dollars. Some give pure ETH (money).
@FXAlexE @_Felipondio @Aaxhish_ I dont think people will fully trust it though until it can be regulated, like HOW do you know if what you buying is infact the original? People say perks but you still gotta fork out alot of money for them. Dont even get me started on the stolen art/pfp been turned into them.
