Democrats responded to urgent needs of the American people, delivering historic COVID relief #ForThePeople that got shots in arms, money in people’s pockets, children back in school and 6.4 million workers in jobs. And we will keep working For The People.
Biden-Harris and Democratic majorities have delivered results For The People:
➡️ 6.4 million new jobs - best year of job creation in US history
➡️ 1-year drop in unemployment, 6.2% to 3.9%
➡️ Cut child poverty by 40%
➡️ 200 million people fully vaccinated
We don’t agonize; we organize. Our grassroots volunteers from coast to coast are putting in the work to defend our democracy. We will never give up and never stop fighting until we secure #VotingRightsForThePeople.
Our Constitution gives the Congress the authority; our oath of office gives us the duty; and our conscience gives *each of us* the moral imperative to secure #VotingRightsForThePeople and defend our democracy from coordinated assault by Republican legislatures across the country.
As voters come under coordinated attack from Republican state legislatures and whether we will ever have another free and fair election again is a live question, a decision to do nothing is complicity.
Choose democracy instead — America is worth it. Choose #VotingRightsForUS.
Saving the life of our democracy depends on defeating the un-American attacks on the vote in various states across our country with superseding federal protections.
Just as federal Civil Rights protections defeated Jim Crow, we will beat back Jim Crow, 2.0.
Republican legislatures are pressing a state-by-state assault on voting rights and fair elections that should trouble anyone who values our democracy.
Democrats are meeting them on the frontlines of this assault, to save our democracy for *all* Americans.
I’m proud that our Democratic majorities and President Biden are delivering good paying jobs, transit equity, and infrastructure repairs for San Francisco, for California, and for every community in America.
Together, we are building back better.
Respect for the sanctity of the vote and the will of voters in deciding our elections has always been a bedrock American value.
#WeDreamOfVotingRights and will *never* stop fighting to defend our democracy.
Hate has no place in America. All Americans should be safe, especially in places of worship.

Happy heavenly birthday to my father, who spent his last birthday on earth serving others. Today, we honor the #MLKLegacy by working to fulfill his dream. We're turning out in AZ to demand that Congress #DeliverForVotingRights. We must ensure the sacred right to vote for all!
On the day that #MLK would have celebrated his 93rd birthday, choose to #BeAHeroForVotingRights.
By being on the right side of history, we earn the honor of commemorating his legacy with deeds that advance justice and democracy in America.
Winning the fight for voting rights and for fair maps and fair elections in the face of systematic attack from Republican state legislatures won’t be easy, but America is worth it.

Every House Democrat just said YES to reforms backed by bipartisan majorities of Americans:
– Ending partisan redistricting, voter suppression, and nullification
– Amplifying grassroots voices and disclosing secret big money in politics
We will win the #FightForVotingRights!
Now is the time for the U.S. Senate to do the right thing and call a vote on crucial voting rights legislation. Future generations are counting on us to protect our democracy. I wrote out some thoughts about why this is so important. usatoday.com/story/opinion/…
Every reauthorization of the 1965 Voting Rights Act was bipartisan because, ultimately, protecting the vote is nonpartisan.
Our #FightForVotingRights is on party lines because something has changed: The Republican Party gave up on democracy. The American people have not!
Defying odds was the theme of Harry Reid’s life. From his humble start in Searchlight to his powerful perch as Senate Majority Leader, Nevada’s beloved son never forgot his roots.
Over decades of public service, he beat the odds to improve the lives of working families.
In a week’s time, @JoeBiden has given the two most consequential speeches of his Presidency, in defense of democracy, justice and voting integrity.
Yes, this needs to be followed by concrete action. But there is not one scintilla of doubt, he is on the right side of history. 🇺🇸
