‘Squid Game’ creator Hwang Dong-hyuk wrote the show in 2009 but was rejected by studios for 10 years. He once had to stop writing the script + sell his $675 laptop due to money struggles. Today, it’s #1 in 90 countries + set to become the most-watched show in Netflix history.
@Tngtweets1 This shows you that no matter how bad or how much you’ve lost, it does not mean that you won’t come to win. @unkonfined
@Tngtweets1 I think the show is trash I really dont see what ppl like so much you guys ain’t even thinking of yourselves you just see ppl like sumn n be like I love it too
@Tngtweets1 I began watching it Thursday and after about 15 minutes I quickly became annoyed because the dubbing voice for the Korean guy wasn't natural. I guess I'll try again since it's all the rage on Netflix.
@Tngtweets1 Mad reading people getting upset that creatives are not succeeding. Success isn’t guaranteed. You have to work for it. If it was that easy Everyone would be doing it.
@Tngtweets1 Lesson learned: not everyone will see your value right away! Keep working.
@Tngtweets1 Squid Game is an interesting series & it portrays a slice of life; The underlying message, characterization & use of universal themes makes the series worth watching but the subtitle is terribly poor. Netflix should start doing a better job with subtitles cos I notice this a lot.
@Tngtweets1 My book's been getting rejected for two years and I'm almost broke too. I believe in it. On some days it is soul-shatteringly difficult, but seeing this really makes me believe. Thank you 💙
