@Tranarchic To he fair: you need a 300 IQ to understand this colombian classic
@Tranarchic My rule of thumb is if it's french I'll give it a watch not so if it's American .
@Tranarchic It's a very American (USA) issue. Other countries have more foreign movies. Most them American 😆 Even saying foreign without specifying that we are talking about the US initially is so centered. But all of us "foreign" people get what you mean..
@Tranarchic Unless it's a comedy or an action movie i doubt most ppl care about foreign cinema
@Tranarchic Plus it's subtitles. Reading is a barrier. And in that past there was just less access to any foreign films, subbed or dubbed, and the people who decided what made the jump were probably real pretentious about it.
@Tranarchic Eh, I just don’t wanna watch a movie that’s not in English
@Tranarchic I remember recommending C.R.A.Z.Y. (It’s a movie in French set/filmed in Quebec) and they said no because “foreign movies are pretentious” ?? It’s literally the same country just like two provinces over 😭
@Tranarchic I'm not American. Do they assume that I'm a movie snob if I watch an Adam Sandler flick?
