@JaAmfan @tacticalfiend It's interesting to see this aggro posing propped up as correct, when in my mind, Yasuhiko gave the first Gundam a distinct, and kind of meek personality through its body language, fitting for Amuro, and had the posing develop more confidence over the show.
@JaAmfan @tacticalfiend It's definitely ideal to have modern models have their chins point down because their face geometry complements that pose and makes them look more agressive, but there are tons of great shots in first gundam that show the chin upwards.
@BlackSeaAMS Something that should surprise no one is that the closer the kit/figure sticks to the original Yasuhiko designs, the worse they look in the modern aggro stance and the better they look in more classical poses and framing
@BlackSeaAMS Instead of crunching the torso and tilting the head down, adding a subtle lean back to the whole thing captures more of that same vibe that a lot of Yas’ art had of looking up at it, rather than down
