INTENSE ground scouring in Caldwell Parrish, LA. Violent but brief vorticy action. Owner of the land said that the pressure drop “exploded his home”. Interior rooms are what’s left of his home which appeared to outside of the main circulation @ReedTimmerAccu @marcusreynold19

@TylerSmith_wx @ReedTimmerAccu @marcusreynold19 Should remind the comment section that Louisiana topsoil is very soft and easy to rip out for a tornado. Not to mention its not very deep at all. Also, not just violent tornadoes can scour. EF3s can as well, so this should stay EF3 per NWS Shreveport.
@TylerSmith_wx @ReedTimmerAccu @marcusreynold19 Hmm, I do tornado damage surveys for NTP. I've never seen actual ground scouring in person before. This is interesting to see. Though I wonder if something heavy was there and it was dragged across the field by the tornado. Just my guess.
@TylerSmith_wx @ReedTimmerAccu @marcusreynold19 @ReedTimmerAccu I have never seen ground scouring this significant, is this a semi common occurrence or rare?
@TylerSmith_wx @ReedTimmerAccu @marcusreynold19 What. In. The HELL IS THAT!!!
@TylerSmith_wx @ReedTimmerAccu @marcusreynold19 This is what is crazy to me the most... down and inward, and a few feet away, it's up and outward. It's so bizarre.
@TylerSmith_wx @ReedTimmerAccu @marcusreynold19 This is nuts
