Yesterday, I met with leaders of the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, and representatives from the business and labor communities, to discuss the Port of LA’s announcement that it will begin operating 24/7.
COVID-19 exposed the vulnerability of our supply chains, and our Administration is committed to making them stronger and more resilient. This is about making sure Americans get the goods they need.
@VP can we make "made in America" mean something again? when i was young it was a bit deal to buy American made. we got a better product. today? not so much. lead our nation to fix what we broke in the name of profits.
@VP Literally the most leadership based thing I’ve seen come from you. Well done and thank you, this gives me a little hope.
@VP The ongoing mismanagement of the pandemic is the cause
@VP Madam VP, request you to please initiate plan of actions on eliminating the dependency on Chinese manufacturing/supply chain.
@VP If the goods were made in America, we wouldn’t have to worry about shipping containers.
@VP How about bringing those manufacturing jobs back home so we don't have a problem with goods waiting to be unloaded at the ports?
@VP Scrap the "Just In Time" supply chain practice. That contributes to shortages. Also reduce outsourcing
@VP What if instead of getting the goods, we incentivize people to make the goods here at home?
@VP I am glad to inform my dear friend and Vice President, that I just had my second shot of covid 19 on 12th October 2021Tuesday.
