As a 5th generation Knoxvillian who’s lived here all my life, I know our community is full of generous people who look out for each other. I’m on the ballot today because I want future generations to grow up knowing that if they work hard, they can get ahead here in Knoxville.

I was excited to cast my vote early on day one! 🗳️ This campaign is about more than just my name on the ballot — this campaign is by and for folks who believe in building a Knoxville that works for all of us.

As a labor leader, I marched for a $15/hr minimum wage, healthcare for all, + LGBTQ rights in the workplace. As your next Councilwoman I will continue to fight for working families and ensure Knoxville works for all of us.

Knoxville needs more leaders who are willing to show up. And show up. And show up. That's what I’ve been doing every day on this campaign, and will continue to do as your next Councilwoman.

The idea that everyone in Knoxville deserves to have a roof over their head should not be treated as a “radical” proposition. Not doing enough to help our neighbors is what’s radical.

As a card-carrying union member since the age of 19, I am proud to have organized labor on our side in this race. Unions are essential for negotiating fair wages, ensuring safe working conditions, and finding common ground between workers and businesses.

I'm proud of Knoxville's history of electing trailblazing, progressive women to local office. @madelinerogero, @VoteGloriaJ, and the members of our female-majority City Council all carved a path that women continue to follow, myself included.

I won’t ever stop fighting for the working families who call Knoxville home. That means making our city affordable for all. Increasing housing stock. Investing in public transit. Strengthening neighborhoods. There’s a lot of work to do, and I’m ready to get the job done right.

Folks are paying record-high rents — they don’t just want a few "affordable housing" units, they want *cheap* housing. And the only way we'll achieve that is through abundant housing. This is the roadmap.

Yesterday I attended the City of Knoxville’s Missing Middle Housing community open house. I was glad to hear that over 70 people attended and provided feedback yesterday! 🙌 City initiatives like this one must include strong community input and transparency.

Every level of government needs to be working to end gun violence in our country and help save lives. As your next City Councilwoman, I’ll make it clear that thoughts and prayers are not enough.

.@POTUS Joe Biden announced last week an official Office of Gun Violence Prevention, something that March For Our Lives has been fighting for since 2019. When young people vote, organize, run – they can change the world.
