YWCA provides: 🏡 Safe and supportive shelter and transitional housing for women and their children 👩‍⚕️ 12-week program to support women and gender-diverse folks fleeing violence 👭 Community resources, referrals, and supports for newcomer, immigrant, and refugee women

By registering and raising funds for Walk a Mile in Their Shoes, you’ll directly power life-changing and life-saving programs for women, girls and gender-diverse people.

Last year 173 women and girls were violently killed in Canada. Women, girls, Two Spirit and LGBTQIA+ people experience violence at higher rates than anyone else in our Hamilton and Halton communities. In 2018, Hamilton recorded the highest reports of hate crimes in the country.
