I have a new job at Xbox š Iām now Xbox EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Social Media Lead. This is ace for a few reasons and Iād like to explain why if thatās okay (thread with nice pictures of Scotland)
When I started at Xbox it was on the EMEA team and itās so exciting to be back āhomeā. IMO local social marketing is critical and Iām buzzing to partner with and support our amazing country teams to help make great stuff happen.
Iāve been struck - but not surprised - at how passionate and enthusiastic and committed everyone in the Xbox EMEA team is. Iām so grateful for that, and for the lovely welcome theyāve given me š
And Iām also thankful for the incredible 3 years my family and I had in the USA while I worked on the Xbox Global Social team. Iām so proud of what we achieved and constantly in awe of what the team continues to do.
But our time in the US did end abruptly. itās been a really difficult year for my family and I. Weāre still finding our feet but grateful that we have each other and the support of our extended family. The whole Xbox team has been so supportive too.
Thatās partly why Iāve been a wee bit quieter on social lately. Itās been a tough 10 months. But weāre getting there. Weāre settling down in south west Scotland. Itās gorgeous and weāre hame. And this new Xbox EMEA social role feels like perfect timing, Iām so grateful.
In conclusion: Buzzing about my new job, thankful for the support of the Xbox team, and grateful for the support of my family. Things get difficult. We can get through it. I know itās easy to think youāre on your own, youāre the only one struggling. Youāre not. Thank you š
@AceyBongos Thanks for sharing Graeme, these are real stories and experiences we all go through struggles at times. Congratulations on the new role, always been a pleasure working with you. Hope the family continues to settle and establish roots there in Scotland. š
