Q5: Which students might be (dis)advantaged by ChatGPT if we choose to use it in assessments? #LTHEchat #ChatGPT @ProfDcotton @ReubenShipway
@LTHEchat @ProfDcotton @ReubenShipway #LTHEchat #A5 Advantaged, English fluent as #ChatGPT trained mainly on English language data, technical students who are IT literate, problem-solvers, who can use it to support their breaking of problems.
@LTHEchat @ProfDcotton @ReubenShipway #LTHEchat #A5 disadvantaged non-native English speakers, those with additional needs as #ChatGPT needs reading/comprehension to interpret, those without access to technology
@richdron @LTHEchat @ProfDcotton @ReubenShipway I think #ChatGPT can be very helpful to non-native speakers - one student told me he uses it to explain difficult passages when reading. It's also very good at proofreading and quite good at explaining language errors #LTHEchat
