Champagne of the year so far. A kaleidoscopic array of aromas; ripe orchard fruits, cherry pie, lemon curd, marzipan and crushed chalk. Constantly shifting it's focus yet so bright and vivid. Creamy, textured and beautifully fresh, with a finish that never seems to end. Special!

Further to my griping about pricing: This is the sort of Champagne that would make someone fall in love with the region. It´s a special, special wine. I paid around €75 for it. Wine Searcher is telling me I´d struggle to now find it for less than €300. twitter.com/Wine_Cuentista…

@budbursttime Yes, it's not a place for bargain hunting. Though I've still not found a sparkling wine that scratches the itch quite like Champagne!
