@chris_neto What talent storage? The data is showing the opposite, especially in the IT-sectors of our industry. With all the layoffs at major tech companies, the industry is saturated & becoming an employer's market. This is also leading to a push back on high salaries. #AVinTheAM
@chris_neto It’s an employee market right now. I could write a book, a rant, or a paragraph on hiring, finding, securing stand up solid “good” egg kinda people. It sincerely comes from within. #AVinTheAM
@chris_neto Honestly there's such a short-sighted view of growing a team. There will always be a need for specific skills & growth pathways. If you never spend time with assessing, planning & preparing to grow other individuals, you'll always feel there's a "talent shortage". #AVinTheAM

@chris_neto We need to get back to the days of getting to know a person. We use too much technology to weed out and it’s configured wrong. I know I gotten weeded out of jobs by a system due to missing a ‘required’ field but I’m sure I would had been a great fit for the job. #AVintheAM
@chris_neto Many focus on XYZ skill set and then struggle for a culture fit. A shift needs to focus on soft skills and personality fit for org culture. If you fit that, it’s amazing. We have a shortage because we are not expanding our reach, only logos changing on the polo shirt #AVintheAM

@chris_neto We need to look at the local middle schools, and educate them that AV can be a viable career. They need to know the benefits of a career in it. #AVintheAM
@chris_neto Stop trying to find a person that is a custom fit for your role and start developing your young talent. Don't object to also finding members that are wily vets that can fill roles - maybe just at a different pace then others. Provide flexibility in where/how you work #AVintheAM
