@DanPriceSeattle And during the coldest month of the year, gas more than doubled...no tax credit and double to heat...im actually scared.
Since the pandemic started, ten U.S. men doubled their collective wealth from $750 billion to $1.5 trillion. They pay a lower tax rate than the middle class.
We just sent 5 million kids into poverty by taking away the child tax credit to "save" $60 billion.
Billionaire tax now.
@POTUS has the ability to #CancelStudentDebt, push for continuation of #ChildTaxCredit, or put restrictions on gas companies selling over seas and charging suffering Americans double to heat their house...in the winter...in a pandemic! But instead this teacher will get a 3rd job.
If things never really change, both ruling parties want it that way.
@davidsirota Bernie. They'll blame Bernie. Continuing the mental gymnastics that has brought us up go this point, they'll blame Bernie.
The real division in America isn’t left vs right, it’s working class vs elites.
“American exceptionalism” means not even realizing that terms like “medical debt” and “student debt” don’t exist in other industrialized countries
Magically found $768,000,000,000 for a defense budget, but the same folks can't fully fund the $45- $60 billion needed to remove lead service lines in our country.
If you work full-time at the federal minimum wage you qualify for food stamps and Medicaid (which we all pay for).
Stop asking if businesses can afford higher wages and start asking why we're all paying to subsidize their low wages.
Only the US forces you to give birth while forcing you to pay tens of thousands of dollars to give birth while not letting you have time off to give birth.
Rich people don’t take out student loans.
@SusanSarandon I respect you for your beliefs and for your convictions...thank you for using for platform for good.
@KeithHeitzman @MdTeryn Even if that's the case- the unvaxed are having to get tested at much higher rates, for concerts, jobs, and close contacts, whereas a vaxed might be close contact or go to a concert and they don't get tested...of course unvaxed rates will be higher- we're only testing them.
@KRenaeP I dont know why, but this post has me laughing in stitches! 🤣
The Pentagon spends over $2,000,000,000 every single day.
Meanwhile, 40,000 veterans experienced homelessness last year.
What if "support our troops" meant reinvesting funds to actually provide veterans with basic necessities?
Maybe it's time to realize it has nothing to do with human attempts to control a virus, but it's just doing what it does and was always going to do.
Ugh- we have to put more money into the military so they can protect us from the rising sea levels caused by the climate change that they are contributing to. twitter.com/EmpireFiles/st…
“The idea that we’re going to live our lives without ever getting it is a fantasy — and a dangerous one,” said Andrew Noymer, an epidemiologist and demographer at UC Irvine. “A lot of people just don’t understand that. We’re all going to get it.” #Science ocregister.com/2021/10/03/vac…
@KyleKulinski Well, that and Dems don't know how to pivot...why do the Republicans get to drive conversation with their narrative? Democrats could be like, "that's all fine and well, but the economy is collapsing and the world is burning so we're going to talk about the more pressing shit."
@johniadarola The homeless crisis, the market crashing, some super storm that we can't even imagine yet...
"Reading aloud is one of the few spaces that checks all the boxes in terms of social, emotional and mental health."

@TulsiGabbard 🙋♀️ ...you endorsed Biden though. You didn't have to, I wish you wouldn't have, but you did. Does that not make you just a small part of this problem?
