Social networks need to be transparent and fair in policing their services, letting Americans make their own decisions on who to follow or block. This is obvious to everyone except the hysterical people on either extreme.
@Jason Good tweet until you tried to bothsides it. Only one side is shadowbanning.
@DavidSacks That’s only because Republicans don’t know how to make software.
@Jason @DavidSacks Most engineers don’t feel strongly about politics, but do want to work with other great engineers. Silicon Valley has world’s best engineering talent, but is co-located with San Francisco, which is far left. Thus, far left gained control of an incredibly powerful info weapon.
@elonmusk @CJstillyoung @Jason @DavidSacks That makes a lot of sense. I just supposed there were no conservative software engineers. Maybe go see if they are in Bozeman Montana?
@elonmusk @MZHemingway @Jason @DavidSacks While conservatives slept.
@elonmusk @Jason @DavidSacks You guys keep talking in the past tense. Who owns Twitter now? Who are they amplifying or suppressing?
@elonmusk @Jason @DavidSacks Yep, engineers are so docile. If they do have political attitudes, they seem to lean right. BTW: Are programmers engineers? Disputable and disputed. Interesting observation: Politics tends to be binary (why?), the world is analog, life is nonlinear. Politics doesn’t capture it.
@elonmusk @MZHemingway @Jason @DavidSacks Great observation. 👍🔥
@elonmusk @ArOkTxNm1 @Jason @DavidSacks One could agrue that they still have control of the "Lion's Share" of "powerful" information weapons.
@elonmusk @DCBMEP @Jason @DavidSacks Texas is building up a large cohort of very talented engineers, in part due to the growing activities of @SpaceX and @Tesla within the state. Despite some popular preconceptions I've found the people of Texas to be generally reasonable across the spectrum of society and politics.
@elonmusk @Jason @DavidSacks And would you say that the average engineer is inclined to see nuance in the subtleties of language, or to see the vast ocean of subjective grey area in culture/norms, and then to look at social relations in a more realistic and relativistic way using such interpretations?
@elonmusk @Jason @DavidSacks And it's not just big Tech either, it's also the scientific community. Even history scholars, other professors. Astronomy, paleontology, climatology. All of which must be protected and preserved at all costs. But they've been hijacked by the leftist Cult too.
@elonmusk @Jason @DavidSacks Come to the right coast - we have lots of engineers here in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.
