It’s been announced that @bbcstrictly are going to have a wheelchair user this year. I’ve just sat, honestly close to tears, as I’ve scrolled through the ableist comments about how wheelchair users are not welcome on the programme but also in general society.
@mumto3teens @fishercoaching I think I need a friend who comes alongside and helps where it’s needed. For instance a friend used to come every morning to play with a child so I could do a quick tidy or have a cuppa. The child struggled to be apart from me so no one could look after her, but this worked

May I introduce DCI Vera Stanhope and Margo Leadbetter (she’s the fluffy one). They’re our new rescue cats who’ve stolen our hearts. They’re settling in nicely and we will carefully introduce them to our other girls when everyone is ready. We adore them beyond measure.
DS struggles with school, loves history but finds the curriculum boring, especially as he is in special school, v. repetitive. this week he came home brandishing two advanced history books that a teacher had brought in esp. for him from own collection. DS chuffed to bits!
