It is frankly jaw dropping, given how many videos we've seen of cops brutally attacking peaceful protesters, that we haven't seen more violent retaliation from civilians. The fact that it's basically been limited to looting/property destruction is a sign of superhuman restraint.
I guess this is why police departments arm themselves like military units -- you'd need an incredible amount of firepower to deter crowds of protesters from fighting back in the face of police brutality.
@gaywonk You're sure it's not cos the victims are still too shell-shocked and it'll take them some time to process, but in future they're going to be a lot more violent? 😳😓
@gaywonk @JoanieReb Give it time. There's only so many times a person can 'turn the other cheek'. Give it time.
@gaywonk Because if you respond to force with force they'll beat you with a baton and then charge you with assault and get you fired and take away your right to vote
@gaywonk @CharoShane That's part of what makes the cops so scary. They're TERRIFIED of the crowds, because they believe stupid political stuff they get from Fox News about cop-killer terrorists inside BLM. They think they have to be super brutal to keep the crowd too intimidated to attack.
@gaywonk I'm amazed at how often I see just one or two cops beating the shit out of a civilian with dozens of other protesters around, and they don't dogpile the cops.

@gaywonk @babadookspinoza Please be aware of groups like the Boogaloo boiz, ProudBoys etc., as well as police provocateurs----all of whom seemed to ONLY be there to create chaos/get their violence on /discredit protesters in the eyes of the public. x.com/cmclymer/statu…
