@6ixbuzztv Was he doing cardio or bulking up? That will tell you what his next intentions are 🤣
@nut_meggy Good for the government not good for you. Why would a business establish themselves in Canada knowing they will pay a useless government to waste the that amount of money. No business = no jobs. Businesses aren't the cause of all your problems, stop being so gullible.
@ReeferMadness @MarkMcGrathCFP @Tablesalt13 Small businesses employ 46.8% (5.7M) ppl in Canada. So your position is that if an owner manages to get a deferral (not savings) benefit, in exchange for the sweat, risk and effort to keep those people employed then that’s a bridge too far and they should get nothing?
@MarkMcGrathCFP @HairTrigger5 @Tablesalt13 Clearly it was already broken or I wouldn't see 40 dozen websites advising the self employed to incorporate "for tax reasons".
@ReeferMadness @HairTrigger5 @Tablesalt13 Capital gains were treated mostly the same either you had a corporation or not. That's no longer true. They broke integration
@ReeferMadness @MarkMcGrathCFP @Tablesalt13 I’m not saying deferral isn’t a benefit. I specially noted it was. But self employment also comes with a massive amount of other stresses and issues, and also is responsible for the vast majority of jobs in Canada. You don’t think that creates a net benefit to society?
@Patricia_Ann_E Yeah, I know. But hopefully Albertans will wise up and she won't be there long. In any case, even Alberta can't fight reality forever. Fossil fuels are going away.
@HairTrigger5 @MarkMcGrathCFP @Tablesalt13 Deferral IS a tax benefit. And a big one. If you think it's not, the answer is simple. Don't incorporate. Also, there are still boatloads of other tax benefits for being self employed.
@ReeferMadness Danielle probably blocked that from happening. “Because screw money and efficiency, non oil and gas money is homo lefty and we don’t like it”
@Patricia_Ann_E I'm curious how much money that land could produce generating solar power. Southern Alberta has some of the best sun in Canada.
@ReeferMadness @MarkMcGrathCFP @Tablesalt13 There is no magic bullet saving massive percentages. With an RRSP, zero tax is paid upfront, so public coffers benefit by the partial deferral. It would 100% be okay with me if the tax act was simplified and I spent my time advising other matters
@ReeferMadness @MarkMcGrathCFP @Tablesalt13 Integration prior to this change applied to capital gains as well. The reality is that there are plenty of non-tax reasons to incorporate, and deferral is the main actual tax reason. A portion of the tax gets paid up front (corporate taxes) and then the bulk gets paid later
@HawkmanAlex Idk why, but that made my mind go to “Reefer Madness.” 😂
@MarkMcGrathCFP @HairTrigger5 @Tablesalt13 In theory, income and dividends are treated equally. Says nothing about capital gains. The blunt fact is if there weren't substantial benefits to incorporating, they wouldn't bother with the expense. And you would have less business. mdtax.ca/blog/physician…
@Mikefromregina So many deadbeat communists in Canada that are frothing at the mouth at the idea of a wealth distribution to them. Go build something on your own and stop feeling entitled to the fruits of other people's hard labour. You can only milk that cow so many times before you're back…
@trap_poker @RandaT0 @icewrldd lol boomer fueled by reefer madness propaganda.
