In my opinion You’re not a bitcoiner just because you hold some bitcoin That seems to be some people’s definition of the word That’s fine But I don’t agree
@Matt_f2 Not sure. But understanding that only bitcoin matters, and being principled about not wanting any part of fiat/shitcoin games, is probably part of it
@hodlonaut @Matt_f2 Probably KNOWING Bitcoin, keeping your keys, running a node, and continuing to learn about bitcoin (in addition to above)
@hodlonaut @Matt_f2 Agreed... it takes a lot of work learning the necessary things...especially hard bc it's on you to learn them, education system won't teach you any of this
@hodlonaut @Matt_f2 If you don't pay taxes you are a real bitcoin living in a bitcoin standard
@hodlonaut @Matt_f2 You know when you’re not looking at the $ value, but at the number of sats have in cold storage.
@hodlonaut @Matt_f2 Are you not describing a 'Bitcoin Maxi'? I'd probably say a Bitcoiner is anyone that holds in a non-custodial wallet, and possibly stretch it to holds more #btc than any other 'crypto'. However, I think 'Bitcoiner' ought to be as inclusive as it can be to maximise adoption.
@hodlonaut @Matt_f2 Some of us understand the implications bitcoin has for the future global freedom but still like to have fun losing our life savings in alts, until we are closer to critical mass
@hodlonaut @Matt_f2 I disagree.. beside Bitcoin other things really matter: Society, Global Politics, Education, Healthcare, Environment... a.s.o.
@hodlonaut @Matt_f2 Agree. When someone really delves into the fundamental basis for btc, they understand WHY btc and NOT any other.
@hodlonaut @Matt_f2 Nope. Those are just your politics which you're incapable of separating from a politically agnostic asset. Btc is for everyone not just libertarians.
@hodlonaut @Matt_f2 Craig wright would be proud. " I am the only one who is right now and will be innthe future, my way is the only way."
