I have anterior scleritis. Took a 12 day taper, pred10mg. Didn’t totally resolve, extending it by refilling - same drug, same 10mg, same ins plan. My #1 script for 42 pills was $1.19. Refill for 40 pills is $7.05 BECAUSE it might put me over 30 days on same drug. CIGNA!
Needed it quick but next time, it will be Mark Cuban to my rescue… (This is not a hardship for me but I am perpetually embarrassed by how stupid we’ve let this crap get.)
@LaurieLynn8308 👍 I canceled my Part D insurance because Walgreens changed the formulary and everything suddenly had big co-pays. With CostPlusDrugs my Rx's cost less than 1/3 of what the Part D premium had been. And shipping saves me the cost & inconvenience of having to drive & wait in line.
@joely @mcuban @LaurieLynn8308 CostPlusDrugs isn't a replacement for Medicare part D.
@joely @mcuban @LaurieLynn8308 Walgreens doesn’t have a formulary. They are a pharmacy. They dispense medication. Perhaps your insurance company that administers the Part D changed the formulary.
@joely @LaurieLynn8308 Look at CVS silver script for your part D. My sister went from paying 130.00 a month premium down to 12.00 and her prescriptions are like 5.00 co-pays now
@joely @mcuban @LaurieLynn8308 ill informed and this should NOT have been retweeted meet with a Medicare representative immediately
@joely @mcuban @LaurieLynn8308 Unfortunately Medicare will penalize you for every month you go without your Part D coverage. You may have to opt in later down the road. Id advise getting a part D plan as well as utilizing C+D to prevent this.
