I like the double screen for PHO. If the Sky have CP drop to dissuade the BG roll while Stevens hedges hard (as they have done), an extra screen on Stevens will either give DT an open look, or force CP to step up (I think BG is expecting the drop so she doesn't roll immediately)
Sky cut that looks exactly like what Vandersloot improvised in game one. Dolson at the top, deep corner getting hugged defensively, wing cuts and Dolson facilitates. Copper times it perfectly against Peddy's defensive step toward Dolson. #skytown
"I don't think that's the shot," says Rebecca Lobo. She knows why it isn't the shot—that, and Vaughn shooting after a quick slip (earlier), is what CHI wants. Shot comes because CP drops on BG as always, which means she drops off Vaughn, who feels open, who shoots.
Mini thread for a great post and kick for CP whose setup was eerily familiar: x.com/josiahcohen13/…

Great horns action from Phoenix. Sky switch (see Dolson point the switch to Stevens) and SDS takes advantage of the adjustment step to get around and get to the basket, before making a great individual play and hitting the three. Takes advantage of the hedge-side step by Stevens.
More Sky miscommunication with Stevens, here with Vandersloot. Turner slips the screen, and so V stays instead of marking Cunningham. Both V and Stevens think the other is going to Turner, but both go to the weakside offball action, and SDS patiently rifles in the assist.
Great CHI play here. Strongside Spain PnR, Vandersloot attacks BG's blindspot perfectly, Turner helps off the weakside (where there's an extra downscreen) and Vandersloot makes the easy pass to Stevens, who nails it. #WNBA
Great understanding from Peddy. Low defender Dolson helps on the roll as usual, so the read becomes the opposite corner. If Copper drops, SDS in the corner is the pass; if she stays, Turner in the low post is. Peddy manipulates and passes (a good block from Dolson!) #WNBAFinals
Terrific vision from SDS to find Turner running the floor after a rebound. Vandersloot has to step and Stevens visibly slows down at the perimeter, expecting Turner to stop, but Turner instead does well to keep going and SDS hits her for a nice lob and finish. #WNBA
DT points to her elbow > horns. She reaps the benefits herself, too, as Copper has to step on SDS dribble, so the Sky switch, and DT calmly posts up Vandersloot and scores an easy two. A set that's been really effective for Phoenix—and we'll see more of it.
Sky right back at it—PHO ices the ballscreen and Vandersloot makes a Chris Paul-ian dribble underneath the basket and out that draws extra attention from Turner, taking her away from CP, whom Vandersloot finds for the catch-and-shoot three. #NoCeiling
SO good from PHO despite the miss. Right back to horns (see two clips above). This time Vandersloot doesn't switch on the first DT screen, but Copper still steps against SDS, while the BG screen helps the non-switch to get DT wide open for three. Great sequencing from PHO #WNBA
