We are disappointed to report that the Pardon & Parole Board informed the Jones family this evening that tomorrow's clemency hearing is postponed. This is frustrating for them & for Julius, who has been waiting 20+ yrs to tell his story. We hope to hear more from the Board soon.
We will STILL MEET AT 8AM at Tabernacle Baptist Church to hold vigil. If you are in OKC, please join us. #JusticeforJulius
@justice4julius Absurd to make him wait another day
@justice4julius @kimmyann1111 How dare they! They are putting us all on hold. I hope Stitts office is flooded w/calls to free Julius. Darn them!
@justice4julius Honestly, I think the delay has something to do with a court hearing from yesterday I believe regarding executions in oklahoma, whether they are legal or not? Someone correct me on this if that's not accurate.
@justice4julius This is more than wrong. I'm white. I'm sick of the racism running rampant in this country. Julius was never given a fair trial & there are witnesses who can prove he was wrongly convicted. I send all the positive energy I can muster up to Julius & family. Good Luck. 💔
@justice4julius This seems cruel and torturous. What is the reason for the delay?
@justice4julius I am watching the #Mandela (imprisoned 27 years) documentary to make sense of and gain insight into how one copes in an abusive dehumanizing prison industrial complex. #JuliusJones is on #DeathWatch while those making the decisions about his life are sipping tea and playing chess
@justice4julius It is beyond horrific, beyond unconscionable what the state of Oklahoma is doing to Julius and his family.
