Did you know Luther provided the vocals on the classic March Madness song "One Shining Moment"? Released in 2003, the song is believed to be the last ever recorded by Luther before his death in 2005. His version is currently the main version used in all March Madness broadcasts!
In 1982 Luther collaborated with the legendary Aretha Franklin! After contributing songs to Aretha's album "Jump To It", it went on to peak at #1 on the Billboard R&B charts as well as receive a grammy nomination. They would later go on to perform onstage together at MSG!

On this day in 1985, Luther released his 4th studio album "The Night I Fell In Love". The album went on to peak at #19 on the Billboard charts, and featured famous keyboardist Billy Preston on the single "Til My Baby Comes Home".

For the first time in over 40 years, Luther Vandross’ first two albums are being re-released. ‘Luther’ and ‘This Close to You,” originally released on Cotillion Records, will be available in vinyl, CD, and digital formats in April and June, respectively.
