Omicron-cases are up with 43 % in Denmark from yesterday to today (ssi.dk/aktuelt/nyhede…) 183 cases yesterday, 261 today Remember: This is happening everywhere. There is nothing special about Denmark, except that the country is testing a lot & therefore are not in the dark
@M_B_Petersen @Laurie_Garrett The graphic seems to be incorrectly matched to the tweet as it depicts the number of tests performed, not the number of positives let alone the number of cases of the variant.
@stevenjfrisch @M_B_Petersen @Laurie_Garrett I think the whole point of the tweet is about *testing*. Denmark is testing much more and therefore has a better understanding of what they’re dealing with as cases rise. (The body of the text gives the case #) Other countries aren’t testing enough.
@Mel4Justice @M_B_Petersen @Laurie_Garrett That's not exactly correct. The number of Omicron cases is noted, but if they're confirmed cases, that would mean sequencing was performed. That's separate and not necessarily correlated with 'testing.' Either way, the graphic is misleading in the context of the text.
@stevenjfrisch @itosettiMD_MBA @Mel4Justice @M_B_Petersen @Laurie_Garrett Why are you posting wrong numbers? Denmark is the country that, by far, sequences the most positive tests per capita.
