Inbox: Ontario Real Estate Association says province "should end exclusionary single-family zoning in high-demand areas"
“it defies common sense that you can take a bungalow and turn it into a monster four-storey home for one wealthy family, but you cannot build affordable townhomes for multiple families without red tape, runaround, and exorbitant costs” -- OREA head Tim Hudak
@moore_oliver Actually couldn't someone argue in court that single family exclusive zoning is an unreasonable restriction on property rights since there is no real detrimental effect to the neighours or municipality if a home is converted to a duplex, triplex, or even a fourplex?
@moore_oliver Agents make more money selling four townhomes than one house. 😊
@moore_oliver Did Hudak just say something that I find agreeable?
@moore_oliver @kemosite Conservative/Developer double-speak in support of MZO's and opening up the Greenbelt to subdivisions. Don't be fooled, Mr. Hudac's ideology hasn't changed.
@moore_oliver Time to add "agree with Tim Hudak" to the list of things I wasn't expecting to do today
@moore_oliver Like former PC leader Tim Hudak?
