You have to squint and hang upside down for hours to make this case look like “the law.” In other jurisdictions he’s at least facing something closer to actual legal offenses. But this is a joke. And you don’t have to be a Trump supporter to see it.

@mtaibbi So, what you mean to say is, it’s cool for Michael Cohen to go to prison for facilitating the $280K payments (among other crimes) but his co-conspirator, the man on whose behalf he acted, should get a pass just because he was a former president?
@mtaibbi So you have the indictments? Would you mind sharing them? Oh…right. You’re just being a good soldier in defense of Trump.
@mtaibbi We haven’t seen the indictment; until then it’s all speculation, the wrong train to be on…
@mtaibbi His lawyer did time for doing it, so there clearly was a crime commited, the only question is wether trump was involved, there's no question wether there was a crime.
@mtaibbi ...he says without even knowing what all the charges are... 'Journalism' folks.
@mtaibbi Nah…surely u’ve read (or listened to podcasts) of Trump’s penchant for vastly undervaluing properties for tax purposes &vastly inflating the same property values to obtain loans. That’s fraud & it’s easily proved/disproved. No upside down hanging req. As for your autocracy arg:

@mtaibbi Have you actually seen the charges Matt??? Let the wheels of justice roll!
@mtaibbi "you don’t have to be a Trump supporter to see it." But it certainly helps, the blinders make it easy.
@mtaibbi Or you could be one of the 12 jurors who voted unanimously to indict the former President based on the evidence and the judge's instructions on the law.
