San Jose Sharks goaltender James Reimer said he chose not to wear a pregame warmup jersey in support of the LGBTQIA+ community, citing his Christian faith. cnn.it/3TrHmRW
@CNN Good for him. Respect his beliefs. It’s about equity, inclusion and diversity, right? Or does it only apply to the liberal narrative?
@nickmorris_33 @CNN If “It’s about equity, inclusion and diversity..” he would have wore the jersey 🙄
@LisaVegasLMT @CNN Nope. Did you even read the article? It’s well written and not hateful. It’s about his Christian faith and choosing not to participate in something that would identify him with something that opposes his faith. Have some respect.
@nickmorris_33 @LisaVegasLMT @CNN Supporting all people doesn't mean you condone things they do. The Christian faith states that you should support and love all people, not condemn and alienate them. He can say he's using his faith but he's using his bigotry.
@ShelleyKersey1 @LisaVegasLMT @CNN Wrong. Supporting people implies you condone what they do. The Christian faith does not state anything about supporting people in the way you’re referring to it. It does state to love people. Loving people means speaking the truth to them even if it’s not popular. #TakeAStand
@nickmorris_33 @ShelleyKersey1 @CNN So he’s against it… this all doesn’t mean what you think it means…
@nickmorris_33 @ShelleyKersey1 @LisaVegasLMT @CNN The NHL is not a Christian organization. If he wants to be a religious zealot - he can go do that. If he’s an employee of the NHL, he has to represent their values.
