@ninaturner Oh Rich people take out any and every savvy incentive you can think of, how you think most of them got rich to begin with? Its the same reason Wallstreet took a chunk of that 2 Trillion dollar bailout from the Government back in 2008 that they never needed.
@ninaturner @Arbitrarymagi More importantly. Means testing on the front end just is poor program design. If education benefits the larger society then let's just make it accessible to everyone and if you need to level the playing field, do it on the outcome side in the tax code.
@ninaturner Actually, at least some do. Many do so for flexibility reasons, with the intent upon paying them off early.
@ninaturner Having taught at uni for 15 years. I encourage all parents to have kids pay for there own education through loan schemes etc and roch or poor parents contribute at the end if they want / can. Highest course drop out is from kids whose parents pay up front. Many reasons. Fact.
@ninaturner Poor ppl end up paying more for their education bc of the interest. I already have over 15k added onto my student debt and I’ve been paying for 5 years. I owe more now than I did when I started paying. Started 75k now over 90k
@ninaturner Amen, rich people buy their children enrollment into universities.
@ninaturner Poor people make crappy financial decisions.
@ninaturner Cancel the student debt @POTUS
