Internal Instagram documents obtained by The New York Times, reveal the company’s angst and dread as it has wrestled behind the scenes with retaining, engaging and attracting 13- to 15-year-olds. nyti.ms/3AOjnBm
@nytimes I’m surprised the article didn’t mention the gendered dynamics of Instagram usage, boys are on because of girls, and girls are on because of other girls. Instagram is the internet’s mall, it serves shopping, fashion, and dating purposes.
@nytimes Delete: ungrammatical subject-verb-splitting comma after "Times." cc @suzannesamin, @hwise29
@nytimes Sorry but if my work assignment was "retaining, engaging and attracting 13- to 15-year-olds" I would quit on the spot and call the local sex crimes unit.
@nytimes They should form a support group with folks from Big tobacco where they can work through feelings and learn to accept their “angst and dread”.

@nytimes At least no one is suggesting anything ridiculous, like placing some responsibility on the parents of those 13-15 year olds. It’s 2021, personal accountability is dead.
