I saw the sweetest family while out driving today. Mom and dad and three little kids all smiling and waving. I couldn’t resist them, so I had my driver lower his window and wave back. Nice moment.
The Muppets’ first-ever Halloween special, “Muppets Haunted Mansion” will premiere October 8 on Disney+ with lots of fun celebrity cameos. My role as a singing bust has been hailed by critics as, “Small, but not very pivotal.”
@DanaPerino So sorry. I hope he’s playing with our Stella by now.
I promised myself I wouldn’t cry this time when they sang “La Marseillaise” at Rick’s in “Casablanca” on @tcm. I broke my promise.
@Quertis And looks like you turned out okay!!
Just applied for a patent on my line of meat-based vegetables. Great for keeping peace with vegan friends. The Beefagus is the most promising: USDA Prime Beef cleverly disguised as asparagus spears. The Caulifilet also shows a lot of promise, as do the Porktatoes and Turkmatoes.
@brithume However, a strongly-worded letter will follow.
“Anyways” is not a word. Also, it’s RE-al-tor, not RE-la-tor. And it’s JEW-el-ry, not JEW-le-ry. I feel so much better.
I haven’t been watching. Who won the luge?
There was a time when the worst possible thing you could say to someone was, “Come on over tonight, and we’ll show you our home movies.” We’d do anything to avoid it. Today, social media are clogged with everyone’s home movies, and we can’t seem to get enough. Hard to figure.
Enjoy yourselves on this very special holiday weekend!
Might get into IT work or politics after Wheel. In preparation for each, I’m learning to code and taking a gibberish course.
Started binge-watching “Gunsmoke.” 635 episodes, of which 233 were half-hour shows. The rest (402) were hourlong shows. That’s 518 1/2 hours. At 3 hours per day, that’s about 173 days. I’ll be finished around December 8. I’ll tweet my thoughts then.
I joined the Army in 1968 and was sent to Vietnam where I had the relatively safe duties of finance clerk and, later, broadcaster. So many others did not return, as is true in every war. I salute their memories and their sacrifice. #MemorialDay
@MaggieSajak Do you just think of these things off the top of your head?
@ElayneBoosler @NewsHour Not so weird. Years ago, I noticed that when NBC News anchorman John Chancellor had put on a few pounds, so had I. When I dropped them, so did he. Never figured out why.
@p_m_robinson Despite its pronunciation, I believe it’s spelled “deserts.” I love correcting really smart people. :-)
@Patrick_ONeal All good, Patrick. Thanks. Hope to see you at a game before too long. Keep up the great work.
@LeBatardShow I admire your courage, Dan. It has inspired me to admit that Vanna and I left the show years ago. What you see now are holograms, created—ironically enough—by a special effects firm in Des Moines.
@greggutfeld That was the only thing on my calendar until my July pedicure.
@masnOrioles A great player and an even greater guy! I still feel like an excited kid every time I see him. It was a privilege to watch him play and it’s an honor to know him. Happy birthday, Brooks!
