I had a huge game collection before the fire. Mall of Horror is out of print, as is Wooden Ships & Iron Men. This isn't even a tithe of them all. Popped in my memories.
@HillbillyHighl1 Morning! Did you ever play the old Avalon Hill war games? TacticsII, Blitzkrieg, Gettysburg, among others. Also a board game Diplomacy, approx circa 1904, with very few pieces.
@performativeUtt I've heard of Gettygsburg, but not played it. I loved Scratch One Flattop. I downloaded a free, print and play game from the British war college called "Dien Bien Phu, trenches in the tropics." It's no longer available, so I'm going to scan my copy and save it. Brought it here!
@HillbillyHighl1 Good man. I played Tactics II and Diplomacy a lot. I think the ones you mention were after my time. I was also a big fan of Stratego, and Risk, a staple.
@performativeUtt Oh, lord, spent a lot of time playing Risk!
@HillbillyHighl1 Australia first!! Easier to hold than 2 entry So. America. Then leverage off of the two extra armies per turn.
