Let’s be blunt: the Democrats’ current reconciliation mess started the moment Pelosi agreed to untether the bipartisan bill from the reconciliation bill. But leadership mouthpieces presented that as some huge smackdown for the centrists and like 95% of you bought it
Pelosi and other Dem leaders have been around SO LONG that they've manufactured this perfect little bubble around themselves: we say they must be good at their jobs because they've been around so long, and then justify them being around so long because they're good at their jobs.
It's incredibly difficult to penetrate this bubble and point out that despite their supposed brilliance, the current crop of Dem leaders are outmaneuvered more often than they succeed, drop more elections than they win, and constantly blunder into obvious traps and pitfalls.
@whstancil The only objection I have to this thread is that Dems are ALWAYS outmaneuvered by Republicans. We're on the brink of flat-out fascism and leaders like Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer have been in Congress for the ENTIRE time. And normie Dems think everything is just fine.
@whstancil To wit: - the courts - including the hugh court because Dems and Obama allowed the GOP to steal a seat - look at the way the GOP has been able to completely shape the narrative about everything because they've successfully worked the refs for decades
