Decades of lessons. Decades of sacrifice. Decades of setbacks. Decades of hard work. Decades of doubt. Decades of dreams. Decades of mastering their craft. Decades of preparing to make the magical appear effortless. Great music takes an inconceivably large amount of great work.

The magic of music ensembles - people of all ages sat beside each other, people of all professions sat beside each other, people of all backgrounds sat beside each other, all working together to achieve a common goal and a common beauty. There really isn’t anything else like it.

It was through a saxophone that I found my confidence. It was through music ensembles that I found my friends. It was through music-making that I found purpose. It was through performing with others that I found one of the greatest joys of life. It was through music. All of it.
