Proud of my daughter @samluvs2run for dipping under 3 hours yesterday with a 2:58:57 at Chicago Marathon. This also gives her bragging rights over her Mom (my wife) Nancy who ran a 2:59:21 30 years ago.

It makes me incredibly happy that these experiences were so positive that she wants to use her MBA in our sport.
I’m thrilled to announce today that I will be working full-time with HAWI Management @hawisports representing some of the top names in track and field. I am very thankful for this opportunity to learn from some of the best and can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!
She has been smarter than me for years and way more directed. Now she has the degree to prove it. 23 year old @samluvs2run has earned her MBA and ready to take on the World. Proud Dad.

I feel like casual track fans don’t realize how big a deal Elle St. Pierre beating Gudaf Tsegay is. Tsegay is a 3x World champ over 1500i-10k, the current world record holder at 5000m (14:00) & 1500i (3:53), & in the prime of her career. And Elle outkicked her in a fast race.
