For a bit more context, in 2021 CBC forced one of their journalists to publicly apologize for referring to Palestine as Palestine. When they rightfully received complaints, this is the response they put out: cbc.radio-canada.ca/en/ombudsman/r…
@sarasteeni @Terrilltf Not in the least odd. CBC also uses "Northern Ireland" bc that's the country that currently exists. And they've no more "banned" references to Palestinians and their fight for jurisdiction in their territories than they have to Irish Republicans or advocacy for a united Ireland.
