The @nytimes just announced they will honor Juneteenth, Veterans Day, and Indigenous Peoples' Day for non-union employees only. This is a new low in union busting designed to scare our @NYTGuildTech colleagues before they vote in their election. We will fight it, and we'll win.
@shaneisland @nytimes @NYTGuildTech Is that what means, or could it mean they can’t modify a contract that is already in force? Sincere question.
@shaneisland @nytimes @NYTGuildTech The Old Gray Lady takes a dark turn. Union busting? C’mon—d’you forget? Bezos owns the Washington Post, not you guys. Yet.
@shaneisland @still_NunyaDB @nytimes @NYTGuildTech If it’s not settled by Juneteenth, union members should just go in and celebrate the dates WHILE AT WORK. I suggest cake!! #UnionStrong @NYTGuildTech
@shaneisland @NuitElsker @nytimes @NYTGuildTech Yeah, I'd think such disparate treatment wouldn't hold up. That's a bizarre one.
@shaneisland @nytimes @NYTGuildTech This is NYT admitting they need to hire more POC
@shaneisland @nytimes @NYTGuildTech 3 days? You kidding me? 3 days?
@shaneisland @nytimes @NYTGuildTech I wonder how unionized Veterans feel about this.
