“The men used the generator on their welding truck to boil pots of coffee. They started walking along the lines of nearby cars, offering their trapped neighbors water, caffeine and snacks." washingtonpost.com/transportation…
Also, I would like the recipe for pecan pistachio bread if anyone has it.
@shannonrwatts Was it the mother-in-law’s mother’s pecan pistachio bread or the mother-in-law’s pecan pistachio bread? @washingtonpost lists different descriptions in two stories on the same page. Maybe, the #editors were stuck, too.
@shannonrwatts I was stuck on the side of the road in Pennsylvania. It was snowing and no one would stop and I literally prayed for help. I was startled when two women in white knocked on my window. They were in Nurse Uniforms coming from work and stopped to help me.
@shannonrwatts @Bobthewelding1 yall really are all the same lol
@shannonrwatts “Aziz noticed a man sitting in a truck labeled VDOT, for Virginia Department of Transportation...... In my opinion, VDOT should have loaded that truck with food and water and that man should have driven along handing out food and water to people that needed it,”
@shannonrwatts This warms my heart as I began my work life as a welder fitter. I then switched to the dark side as an entrepreneur and business consultant. I'm sure their were finance guys in the crowd offering to do spreadsheets to keep people amused.
@shannonrwatts I was stuck in that crap for 6 hours. By 11:30 it was too late to get home in 3 or more hours so I went back to work n slept in my car in the parking lot. Next night it was 8:30 before I got home.
@shannonrwatts Great story! There is good... "Aziz — who never leaves the house “without my boots laced up,” meaning he prefers to prepare for the unexpected — had packed Clif bars, party mix, 32 water bottles and his mother-in-law’s mother’s pecan pistachio bread."
