Author @RobertGreene writes in the 48 Laws of Power, “Never assume that the person you are dealing with is weaker or less important than you are," for you may just be dealing with a Genghis Khan. I see how some people in the media write about me or our publication. They seem to say, we are better than you, know better than you, are better behaved than you, better trained than you and work in more 'reputable' publications than you. They judge, they boast, they brag, they lecture. They write the stories on their minds, they write about their judgements not about me. Sadly, most American people do not know their names. I have learned this in life, never assume you're better than anyone you meet, whether here on Twitter or in person. As Robert Greene writes in his must read book, The Laws of Human Nature, "The world simply exists as it is. Things or events are not good or bad, right or wrong, ugly or beautiful. It is we, with our particular perspectives, who add color to or subtract it from things and people. We focus on either the beautiful Gothic architecture or the annoying tourists. We, with our mindset, can make people respond to us in a friendly or unfriendly manner. Depending on our anxiety or openness, we shape much of the reality that we perceive dictated by our moods and emotions."
It is unfortunate you are surrounded by people in your profession, and in that room specifically, who do exactly what Greene warned against. Don't let them bring you down to their level. Your followers respect you for exactly who you are. I'm sure those you're surrounded by have never bothered to read anything you've written. We do and we respect you. Keep writing. Keep us informed. You're head and shoulder above those trying to cancel you!
@simonateba @RobertGreene You are the breathe of fresh air that America needed. Thank you.
@simonateba @RobertGreene I see people have been reading important books.
@simonateba @RobertGreene The more I read from you, the more I like you. Thank you!
@simonateba @RobertGreene My the Good Lord Bless and keep you always!!! Thank You!
My dear young man, you are far too smart for the people you are forced, by your profession, to associate with. That said, there is nothing more needed in that profession than intelligent fair minded people. So, I hope you stay, for truths sake. But if you move on by choice, you will only move on to bigger and better accomplishments...More than you ever thought possible.
@simonateba @RobertGreene U are a better journalist than 90% of that room
@simonateba @RobertGreene Besides the fact that a 76 year old man is childishly mimicking someone, there is also the fact that the man in question is the former president of the United States of America. It simply doesn't suit the decorum of the office, the stature of the position or the maturity
