Flight operations @slc have resumed after the nationwide FAA ground stop. About 86 flights have been delayed and 8 cancelled, so passengers are encouraged to check with their airline for potential delays.

@nthin26 Apologies for the confusion. This was in response to a Tweet posted by a passenger asking why they saw a dumpster with luggage in it.

Believe it or not, some passengers leave their bags in the trash for the airport to throw away. The bags are too large to fit in the airport's trash compactor, so we must put them in a dumpster. Reminds us of the old proverb: One person's trash is another person's treasure.
