@Gsinghxxx How so? not eating animal products is different from opposing speciesism... and why so rude, being cordial isn't that hard either.

I'm at a point where i don't even think i can just date someone who doesn't eat animal products anymore, she has to oppose speciesism, otherwise it probably wont work. Salute to those than can date non vegans and potentially help them transition, it's just not a fit for me.

Some of these comments are so hostile 😯. They act like i'm flipping chairs over, throwing red paint on the table and screaming meat is murder 🤣. I'm literally choosing to not be present, it's a non action 🤷🏿‍♂️, they too bitter about where i eat, lol.

@bigskybabs My cousin said they'll be vegan options 😋 But stepping away from the table is for my mental health. Over the years it's become hard for me to sit and see animals consumed so i just remove myself from the table, i don't make a scene or anything, its just me protecting my peace.

@PetalLu Thanks, yeah i am rarely on social media these days but occasionally i pop up, just prioritizing self care 😊 part of that self care is taking the liberation pledge and removing myself from tables where animals are served. Thanks so much for the support 😊.

@fujtwo @kimjongcrack For additional context it's called the liberation pledge, it's inspired by Chinese families in the early 1900's that didn't allow their sons to marry women who were forced to bind their feet. Today I told my mom i no longer sit at tables where animals are being served so at my cousins wedding i'll excuse myself from the table during dinner. She was so supportive and understood 🙏🏿. Do you all have stories of family members who've been supportive of your vegan journey?

Our society kills appx 2 - 3 trillion animals every year so we can consume their bodies however we want, whenever we want and wherever we want. It's really appalling we've allowed such large scale suffering to be a normal part of our society.
