Today students and staff @stahces participated in the Great Big Crunch. After a 10 second countdown, we all took a bite into our delicious apples making a great big “crunch!” Special thanks to Drummond Farms, FirstOntario Credit Union & Ontario Produce and Marketing Association.
On Thursday March 21, the @stahces celebrated the diversity of our students by wearing colourful socks to bring awareness on World Down Syndrome Day. We all belong and encouraged to share our gifts and talents with our Catholic school community each day!
The grade 8 students @stahces attended the Toronto Raptors game versus OKC to celebrate the many service initiatives that they have supported this year. The grade 8s have been members of the Liturgy team, HAT, Student Council, intramural coaches and many more! Thank you Grade 8s
What a beautiful day for a walk around our Catholic school community. The @stahces Health Action Team created a scavenger hunt on their community walk to promote healthy living. Amazing leadership from our HAT students and their staff advisors!
Grade 2 students in Mrs. Mastromarco and Mrs. Hall’s class @stahces were investigating measurement by having students using metre sticks to measure various items around the school including staff members. Excellent engagement!
Students and staff @stahces are wearing pink today to express support and to raise awareness about bullying and our need to live as Christ lived. This year’s theme is “Lift Each Other Up” which encourages us to work together and treat others with dignity and respect! God Bless!

This week @stahces HAT members updated our Walk Across Canada initiative. We have walked over 5000 kms as a school community and have made it to Quebec City. Congratulations to Mr. Toffolon’s class for capturing the golden boot for the most km.
We just added a plaque in front of our statue of Saint Ann that greets countless people as they pass by. Now, for whoever wishes, they can easily ask for her intercession with the Memorare prayer before her. St Ann, being the grandmother of Our Lord, is a powerful intercessor!
Grade 7 students from @stahces had the opportunity to be engaged through a series of authentic workshops, and presentations facilitated by Indigenous leaders at ILA Arena in Six Nations. Students also participated in traditional games and competitions on the turf. Great day!

Today the Health Action Team from @stahces used chalk on the sidewalk to share positive and encouraging messages for our Catholic School Community to highlight Kindness Week. Special thanks to our students, staff, and our Public Health Nurses for their leadership. So thankful!
Congratulations to the January Catholic Graduate Expectations award recipients from @stahces. Students were recognized for being collaborative contributors. Students are team players who respect and listen to others. We are all so proud of you! God Bless!

The ECO team @stahces hosted National Sweater Day on Friday, February 2, 2024. As part of the initiative, the school lowered the thermostat by 1.5 degrees Celsius to support limiting the rise in global temperature. Students wore their favourite sweaters and toques.
Students in Grade 5 from @stahces visited Camp Marydale to investigate chemical changes in science using lava lamps in mason jars. Students also explored the outdoors while on a nature walk and had the pleasure of visiting the watch tower overlooking the pond. Amazing learning!
The Health Action Team @stahces have introduced a new initiative to promote physical and mental wellness for all students. The Walk Across Canada Challenge will track the number of steps and/or km that each student accumulates when actively travelling to and from school.
Students @stahces participated in the cooking club after school today. Students will learn culinary skills, learn about healthy food choices, and enjoy working together to prepare a meal. Special thanks to Ms. Wettlaufer, Ms. Cino, and Ms. Paradisi for their leadership.
Snuggle Up and Read is an annual event that celebrates the family story time tradition. All Kindergarten students @stahces were encouraged to wear pyjamas to school, bring a Teddy Bear and bring your favourite book to school. It was a fun day!! Special thanks to our FDK staff!

The @stahces Junior Lego club provides an educational opportunity to introduce students to the exciting world of engineering. Students work in groups to participate in fun Lego builds and explore the use of gears while learning the value of teamwork, planning, and goal setting.

On the second Sunday of Lent, we move from Jesus' retreat to the desert and temptation by the devil to the glory shown in Jesus' Transfiguration. We are reminded that Jesus’ Transfiguration is a promise of Jesus’ glory, his Resurrection.
