Surrey Police Service needs to deploy 550+ officers to reach full strength while Surrey RCMP needs just 170. The Province’s report suggests an SPS transition will take 3 more years – during which time we'll be paying for 2 forces at a cost of $8M a month. That's $96M each year.

@blueoil23 I have no idea who Ross is or if it's some burner account or what. What I do note is both this Greg guy and that Rattan Journalist person both claim all capitals is for emphasis and not yelling on their Twitter accounts. Both very bias for SPS, etc.

@blueoil23 Funny -having worked at Surrey twice I saw the OIC deal most often with the Mayor and the City Manager. There was significant latitude offered to the OIC to best deliver police services.Ottawa is a long way a way.
