Google’s greatest evil is grooming brilliant 22 year olds into becoming complacent careerists instead of ambitious founders who might one day compete with them
@justindross Most big companies in tech have turned into places where talent goes to die
@elonmusk @justindross How is tesla making sure this doesn’t happen?
@teslaownersSV @elonmusk @justindross No hierarchy. I think he mentioned before that everyone at Tesla is free to share their opinion about a product, regardless of the job title, line stuff or executives. This way he has a 360 vision I think about what is going on and the people feel appreciated, taking care of.
@teslaownersSV @elonmusk @justindross If the metric of success is starting businesses instead of accomplishing feats of engineering, then Tesla would effectively achieve this by having a high rate of churn.. I don't agree that the only way talent achieves good things is by starting businesses.
@teslaownersSV @elonmusk @justindross By growing 50% year to year
@teslaownersSV @elonmusk @justindross Aren't they already doing this - can you imagine such young talent like Andrej Karpathy, Baglino, Zack and many others achieving amazing things?
@teslaownersSV @elonmusk @justindross @AgileAlliance in everything - flat organisational structure - anybody can propose and implement anything if approved - no project ownership - immediate feedback re impact towards Company goals - watch next HBS case study and upcoming new book - or ask me!
