The #BlueJays were basically counting on the pitching being as impeccable as last season or the hitting taking a big step forward. So far both have been worse. Not a great combo and neither terribly surprising.

This is why Joshua should be running the club. Jump the market for elite talent. Not for guys who you can find everywhere and you even already have.

@BlueJaysDoodDad @the_birdfeed He's making an entirely valid point. The Jays had 50MM after the departure of the FA players and spent it on players that don't move the projections enough to justify the outlay of that expenditure, considering other options. And he clearly articulated his reasoning.
I’m not surprised. He will have to adjust and be patient at the plate. #BlueJays
Pitchers have been keeping almost all their fastballs up and mostly away against Davis Schneider this spring. He's struck out three times on high fastballs out of the zone. The book is out (kinda was at the end of last season too). We'll see how he adjusts
