I feel sadness for all of the early career researchers out there. Twitter was one of the best places to feel welcomed, supported and listened to. It elevated my scientific profile and offered me opportunities I would have otherwise not be considered for. End of an era.

What’s more, telomere-to-telomere (#t2t) assemblies now achievable with JUST simplex. Q28 simplex data is accurate enough. You do not need data from any other platform — paving the way for @nanopore T2T assembly, using just simplex data. #nanoporeconf 1/2

Just stopped by the Travelers Genomic Surveillance booth at Newark. This voluntary program is a partnership between CDC and the private sector. It provides important information on SARS-CoV-2 variants among international travelers. Also excited to see the air samplers in action!
