Literally never set foot inside a TJ Maxx before. I call stores like this “Future Landfill.” But I bought squeaky toys for my host’s pets.

@AwardsConnect It’s a shame Best Actress came down to two legends who had never won. Russell comes out on top for me.
Had 4 hours to kill in Chicago. Had fried chicken at Harold’s; saw Seurat’s Un dimanche après-midi à l'Île de la Grande Jatte at the Art Institute; and found a killer bookstore where I did some damage. That’s a limited edition pin from the Edward Gorey house.

Too brief a stopover in Boston, but after three days on the train, a shower and a comfy bed felt great. Late night drink with a friend, up early to grab a bite at a Greek diner in the South End, and now to Lake Winnipesaukee!!!
After three days of Amtrak snack bar food, I had just enough time to grab a Fritto Misto and antipasto. Yum. Then another night on the train to Boston.
