Arizona judge reinstates near-total abortion ban from 19th century wapo.st/3xNE3Lg
@washingtonpost Pima County, where the presiding judge made their ruling, was not even a part of the United States when this law was made.
@washingtonpost The judge would find itself in extreme peril for the next 24 hours.
@washingtonpost Surely this means the ownership of the land prior to formation of Arizona statehood survives, which is a great news for the indigenous people
@washingtonpost If this judge is making a decision based on a Law from a time when Arizona wasn't a state, couldn't that judge be pointed out or accused of inciting sedition? As I see it he is not recognizing Arizona part of the Union if he is referring to a law previous to Arziona's statehood
@washingtonpost When MAGA said they wanted a Civil War I didn't think that meant implementing abortion laws FROM the Civil War!
@washingtonpost 19th century laws? Seems some folks are doing everything to lose.
@washingtonpost Having fun and good times has been overrated. There are few reasons for most abortions today. How many choices do women need for contraceptions. Money is not true! Which brings up the issue about kids becoming sexually active at early ages. Provocative dress, invites, creeps.
@washingtonpost I’ll never understand why people are so obsessed in controlling a woman’s body. Come post birth, they couldn’t care less.
