This is reasonably mind blowing (And I’m curious about contrary explanations for the Webb telescope data which seems to be causing big bang theorists to whimper) iai.tv/articles/the-b…
I mean I would think that it’s wildly statistically unlikely that the universe is actually precisely flat… …but maybe in adjusting for observer effect given billions of universes with all concave and convex ones having finite time of existence it could make sense?
@wintonARK Please, before you let this fuck with your head, noodle on this hand waving: “Only the Hubble redshift relation would still need some new physical process to explain the loss of energy as light travels huge distances.” Anyone got any proposals for a new cause of redshift?
@wintonARK I think over the next 20 years a lot of scientific theories will be upended.
@wintonARK Definitely going to have to read more into this. The argument seems compelling.
@wintonARK Brett why are you making me question everything at 3:30PM on a Friday bro
@wintonARK Fascinating! How does this affect the theory of dark matter or dark energy?
@wintonARK Its actually little beeps not big bangs that make the universe.. meditation is significantly better tuned telescope.
@wintonARK Given the same conclusion was draw before Webb by the very author, I highly doubt the reasoning behind. You only need one credible evidence to falsify a theory, therefore either Webb is unnecessary or, the reasoning is false.
