I want to take a minute and talk about exclusive licensed IP and how each platform holder handles them. There's alot of talk about how it's good/bad. And I think it really all depends on what system you are supporting. So let's start with Sony

Sony is following a traditional philosophy. Bring huge exclusive IP to the platform which can only be played on their hardware. Games are starting to come to PC, but the reality is if you want to play Wolverine, you will have to invest in a PS5.

Xbox is playing it very differently. If you want to play Starfield, you can invest in a PC or One of the Series S/X. You can pay outright or use their All Access model. Additionally, you can get Gamepass Ultimate for $15 and play on a PC, tablet, phone and eventually TV's.

The barrier to entry is minimum $400 on PS5 or $15 on Xbox. Yes, Gamepass Ultimate may not be the best or most ideal way to play, but it is out there for fans of their IP like Halo, Forza, Elder Scrolls, doom etc.

So when fans of Marvel complain that a company like Sony gets Wolverine or fans of Star Wars complain that KOTOR is timed to a Sony system, you could see their complaint as valid. The argument doesn't hold up as well for Xbox, as the barrier of entry is minimal.

This is not meant to flame a console fanboy war. I'm merely pointing out that there are many out there that want to play and consume media from their favorite characters and licenses. I get that it's business and it has been this way a while, but I think license holders should

Definitely think about how many will be able to play these games versus how many will be priced out of it.

Btw out of transparency, I do have both systems. I just want to put my perspective out there.
