Does anyone use @mendeley_com? It no longer supports footnotes, and so every citation *IN MY THESIS* is now in-text. Does anyone have any solutions? I've exported library to @zotero, synched that to Word, but the referencing was done in Mendeley. Thanks @AcademicChatter #phdlife

@danjohnsonhymns @mendeley_com @AcademicChatter Zotero will automatically relink Mendeley Desktop citations with the imported items, but it can’t currently read citations created with Mendeley Cite (which is what doesn’t support footnotes), so unfortunately those you would have to reinsert from the imported library.

@zotero @mendeley_com @AcademicChatter Why can you not support footnotes? This is going to set me back MONTHS - I’m a part-time phd student with a young family working a full-time job. You’ve no idea the implications this has for me

@danjohnsonhymns @mendeley_com @AcademicChatter Zotero has always supported footnotes. It’s Mendeley that doesn’t. You’d have to ask them why they made a citation manager that doesn’t support footnote styles.
